Evolving in 1920s Shanghai from historical Manchu garments, it is defined by a high mandarin collar, asymmetrical front fastening, fitted waist, and side slits. It’s a symbol of Chinese femininity, modernity, and cultural pride. 

Pair with black stirrup leggings for dinner. Great vintage condition. Crystals missing on button fastening.
